About Sponsoring

What will my Sponsored Child or Student Call Me?

The children and students traditionally look upon their sponsors as aunts and uncles. In Nepal they are called kaakaa (aunt) and Kaaki (uncle). Some older people prefer to be called bajai (grandmother) and Baaje (grandfather). Sponsors are very special people to the children and students who often speak of them with pride.

May I Correspond with my Sponsored Child/Student ?

Yes! Most children and students eagerly await mail and enjoy writing letters. Children who are too small to write often make drawings for their sponsor. Your letters are translated for thier parents. You receive a letter in reply together with an English translation.

Who Can Sponsor?

Individuals, families, or groups can sponsor a child or student. Sometimes a group or organization can sponsor several children or students. Present the students of Blue Sky Public School are sponsered by individual, families and group and onrganizations. Some students from Slovakia have sponsored saving thier tiffin money too.

Can I Send a Gift?

Sponsors usually want to send a gift for special occasions such as birthdays and Christmas. .

Aim of School

Literacy Rate of Nepal is (Average), 53.74%. Literacy Rate (Male), 68.51% .Nepal is very back in education.Government could not have managed well school for all people. There are not sufficient teachers and rooms for students. The quality of government school is very low.So high earning family are sending their children in well equipped school. It is very difficult for low earning people. They want to send their quality school and it is not affordable for them.Si I established this school targeting these groups. But it is great challenge too.We need finance too to run a school.God blessed me that i got some friends who helped to find sponsorship for some pupils. There are 30 students sponsored from Australia ,USA and Slovakia.I heartily invite all friends to extend a hand of kind support.I am very thankful to whom helped me to go ahead.

My Self

Hi friends,
I am Prem Kumar Oli. I am from the far western part of Nepal. I was born in village. I have been living in Kathmandu since 1990.
I want to involve in the social sector, that why I started teaching. I have been teaching for 18 years. I have been a Rotarian for three years.
I established a school, the Blue Sky Public School, in 1996. I have been working there as a founder principal since it was established. The main aim of this school is to provide the education for the students whose parents have low income.
I am getting together many friends to accomplish my aim. David Rusk (Australia), Katerina (Slovakia), Margaret (Australia), David Decker (USA) and other friends are helping me. I pray that God will supply more hands to make this project successful.
